does anyone else work M-F + saturday or sunday, every week?
this is my first big boy job and im scared i'll lose my mind only having one day to rest and recharge but i don't know if i'm just being a huge pussy and this is pretty normal (only ever worked 3-5 day weeks)
In the US? Maybe. Move to europe to get decent working hours. Nobody should be forced to work 60+ a week.

Its the only way to make enough money to pay the bills here, even when living cheaply.
I make min wage though.

yeah I'm in the US. apparently 5 days a week is a post industrial-revolution privilege
I figure I don't have a social life anyway so whats it matter if I work a saturday but idk if I'll burn out and end up suicidal. its not a dream position but I would like money and its getting harder and harder to get my foot in the door at my age (mid twenties)
2 things will either happen. One is you burn out quick and either quit or get fired. The other is you go on autopilot mode like my co workers do and just trudge through life without actually living. Like they're working but not really thinking. I work with 2 guys, one has been at our company for 30 years the other 25. They're robots. Its the same routine every day.

I do this too. I work about 65ish hours a week. Today I had to call of sick because I think my body is getting work down from having no rest. It's not normal to work this much. I've done it though several periods of my life (I'm 29 now) and I think I'm going to quit my weekends job now.

I already feel like a zombie being unemployed and depressed, maybe autopilot at a job I hate or tolerate might be an improvement. I definitely don't intend on staying at this company for more than a couple years max.

this is my worry, that my body will just shut down without rest. the commute is long af too, about an hour and a half each way. fuck me. i need the money but this sucks.
