I'm in similar position. Hated myself during my years in middle/high school because of my inability to make friends.

I've finally realized that i can be on my own. I am blessed with a somewhat okay family, and I do my best to be there if any of them needs help, and overall be as little of a deadweight as i can. And that's it in terms of interactions.
While i'm in uni i don't directly seek To socialize, but i also don't glare at people in an hateful way.

This seems obvious, but it's not. You can choose to not hate people, even if you think they deserve hate. If you see a couple walking down the road you can either think "fucking nasty disgusting normies i hope you die why am i so alone reee" OR you can think "well, these are two people who were lucky enough to find somebody who wanted them" and move on to different thoughts.

I thought I felt that way, so I emigrated to a third world country and moved into a home in the jungle. Once I experienced true isolation, I realized how bad I need human interaction.
