>tfw want to start a post-rock/dsbm band
>tfw don't know anyone into this kind of music or anyone who can play any instruments
How do people form bands anyway?
I don't think those two would mix. Also just make noise music since it's probably a lot easier than to learn 3 or more instruments and how to do vocals. I would join your band, though.
I can play guitar and bass
I want to join a band too
>>39262178
Yeah ;<
I can only play guitar and bass guitar. I do want to learn drums and vocals, idk how to learn vocals though.
>>39262210
Oh well then I'd be useless. I only know guitar, but I'd imagine transferring to bass wouldn't be too hard. I've always wanted a peavey millennium bxp 5 with the blue top. They're so cool and supposedly really nice.
>>39262117
I'd be up for joining a band. I can only play cheap keyboards and use drum machines though (the latter being so easy everybody can)
>>39262297
Well, everyone needs a bassist and an extra guitarist is nice.
H-here's a demo desu. RIP your ears so be careful.

I could never come up with stuff like this, it's not bad at all. I was always so bad at guitar but rhythm was a huge weak point for me so bass wouldn't be a good pick either.
I guess I'll just watch.

H-here's another demo.

I feel like you have potential desu. Do you have anything black metal related? How long have you been playing?

Th-thanks.

This was actually pretty funny to listen to, like some background music out of cowboy bebop.
I really like the tone and airiness.
Would be popular in a hipster cyberpunk scene.

Seems like it could become something since it's a bit blackgazey. More shoegaze elements would make it great.
>>39263316
so it's settle you are mybf
But really, first one was a guitar tuned down an octave and the third was recorded in garage band so effectsssss. Too bad my real phase 90 broke and I don't own a flange or even a guitar anymore I want to make something like the goslings, but i'd have to buy quite a few more effects...and an actual instrument to play.
>tfw write some not bad-tier riffs but didn't have the motivation to turn it into a complete song yet
>tfw a good black metal song begins to play in my head (fully composed, all instruments included) while between the border of being awake and sleeping and I usually forget them (only the epic feel stays behind)
Maybe the riffs just aren't that good right now. I would probably turn it into a song if I came up with something epic. Never really wanted to form a band or something, but I feel it's almost inevitable that I will come up with an album in a few years (probably as a one-man band, how else)

A-anon, d-don't make me blush!
I know that feel, I went a year without my guitar because the neck literally popped off two summers ago from the heat. (Was in my room).

too bad
What song is that? It's really ringing a bell for something. Also I've been out for two years since I attempted to build one but then ran out of funds and patience. even though I have a job know I just can't be assed because I feel like it's not for me. Can't justify what I'd spend for no return.
>>39263660
It's part of a song by Dissection, can't remember which one though.
>tfw I learned guitar for years bit I'm only able to play a couple old songs I used to play for my dad
I can sing tho
I would love to do music-related shit, but I know I'll run out of ideas too fast
>>39263685
Oh right, now that you mention dissection I know what you're talking about. I haven't heard that in years actually.
>>39263685
Do you have a discord? I feel like I want to talk to you more.

Ya, I do.

>DSBM
Literally promised myself to stay away from DSBM, because it is sad. Black metal makes me happy and I want it to stay like this.

Oh-oh! I know that song!! Polish black metal is usually nice. Even have some Plaga / Mgla / other songs on my phone.
This is a good example for the songs I like (especially the part which begins at 39s).

I dont like these Black Messiah covers of popular german songs desu
This version far better

>>39264075
Ooooh, I like this one.
I noticed a lot of people don't like Black messiah, I don't think they're bad. ;/
>>39264141
I'm german, so I just dont like most their covers
Didnt look too much into them besides that
More of a DSBM guy myself, altho I also listen to Rap and other shit
>>39262587
I'm a bassist trying to transition to guitar, and it is a whole entire world. The bass was not made for a melodic play style, and the guitar was not made for a rhythmic play style. Although both instruments are extremely fun to play, but I will probably always prefer bass.
Anyone want to collab and make ambient music or indie singer-songwriter garbage with me?
>tfw too scared to show my first attempt to anyone
U-uh... so a few days ago made a cover (better say my own version) of a Satanic Warmaster riff using my cheap equipment, recording with my phone. It was my first time ever with recording and also with making covers.
A-any Anons willing to listen to it and help me with constructive comments?
>>39264610
Go ahead anon.
*Devilish smirk*
>>39264743

It's called The Vampiric Tyrant by Satanic Warmaster. My cover (let's call it my version again) sounds a bit different, but that is all.
Look for the riff at the middle/at the end of the song
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Joo0XL7TCUk
I just resorted to doing everything myself, don't give up anon, not everyone started out with a band, some of them had to work hard to become what they are now.
You sometimes have to do shit alone.
pic related
>>39265095
Nice, good playing regardless though. I'm gonna learn this riff now.
>>39265132
I just love that riff, it gives me the feel even after the 666th time. Good luck with the learning!
You don't have friends my man?
>>39262117
How about instead we start a robot punk band and make songs about how normie suck?
When punk begins to such we can transition to emo/post-hardcore and make songs about depression and shit.

Thinking it'd be post-metal and DSBM, not post-rock. Odd mix.
I can't find a bf who likes any of that and isn't a total autismo black metal elitist. Bad feels
>>39266604
Well, I like post-rock and bm, maybe I worded the OP poorly. ;/
GL, metal in general attracts autists.
