>Join friendship group
>Always on the periphery of the group
>Never fully included in discussions
>Never invited to all of the events
>People just tolerate my existence

Fucking WHY has this always happened for my ENTIRE LIFE no matter how hard I try??? Are we just born with some kind of "Robot Gene" that prevents us from being treated as real friends of normies?
>>

stop hanging out with normies, dingus. take a hint!

It doesn't matter if it's with traditional normalfags or with so-called ""nerds"". It ALWAYS happens

This even used to happen to me in online communities. I would join servers and forums as a teenager and would always be distinctly one of the "uncool" players who wasn't involved with the inner circle of the community

I thought I was the only one...orignallyio

This happened to me a year ago. Confronted one friend about it and told them I felt depressed for feeling left out. After talking back and forth they decided I made them uncomfortable and told the rest of the group to kick me out and unfriend me too after telling them how I felt.

I'm still alone now and it hurts.

join an anime club or something. guaranteed to meet autistic weirdos who are just as bad with people as you are, if not worse. whether you can stomach being around people like yourself is another matter
>>
>>39257426
yes blame genetics and not the fact that you're a lazy withdrawn slob who observes rather than engages.

I'm not a gay weeaboo though. I just like normal things like music, sports and western-made video games. Maybe I am autistic though

I'm a failed normie. I've tried my whole life to penetrate into normalfag society and have always failed. I'm also a kissless virgin of course
>>
>>39257650
>tried my whole life
how many people do you meet every weekend? how many hours do you spend every day talking to people in person?
>>
>>39257650
yeah you're probably just autistic.
fuck meeting with people (really normies) in real life.
find some individualist hobby and just indulge in that. get a waifu, fap, etc. just fucking being around people. they'll never understand you.
>>
My whole highschool was like that and now in uni I just gave up and I am completely friendless.
>>
>>39257426
Yeah its happened to me all my life as well...I guess some of us just have to come to terms with the fact that we're not very likeable people. Accepting who you are may be underwhelming and depressing but its a hell of a lot better than constantly trying to pin-prick your way into social circles and never being successful.

being a lazy slob is influenced by genetics to a large extent. early childhood upbringing is probably a big part as well. i'm not saying that anyone deserves sympathy for it just because of that, but it is what it is.
>>39257650
>I just like normal things like music, sports and western-made video games
i'm glad you are suffering then. get off my board normalfag scum
>>
In this situation now, mostly due to living about 40 minutes away from them and not having my liscense yet. I'm gonna ask them if I can start hanging out with them more, any suggestions?
>>
>>39257721
>large extent
how large?

genetics arguments on r9k are the same as spiritual ones. "it's gods will XD" doesn't cut it for you to be lazy and make stupid mistakes without learning.
>>
>>39257730
>I'm gonna ask them if I can start hanging out with them more
Honestly, I wouldn't bother. What'll happen is you'll end up craving their approval to the point where you stop being yourself and then you'll emotionally exhaust yourself trying to maintain a false facade of yourself that you subconsciously created to gain approval. Socialising kind of sucks anyway.
>>
>>39257426
This is how I imagine robots like you. I mean don't get me wrong, I don't have any friends, but it's because I don't want to put in any effort. I imagine none of you guys are even very nice.

>No matter how hard I try
If you try hard to join a group that in it self shows you don't fit in (and people notice this really easy)
You probably try to join every group of people which also shows you don't fit into any of them.
The reason I wrote this reply is because there is a person just like you in my class, and some part of me wants to tell him this I guess :/
>>
>>Are we just born with some kind of "Robot Gene" that prevents us from being treated as real friends of normies?
I'm starting to think we might be, because I've always felt like this, like I'm always on the outside looking in and it's not just with school but with other groups too. No matter what I've always been the outsider and always the loner.

I think we were the runts of the litter anon, and the normies know this which is why they don't want us around. We will never feel fully connected or involved, only tolerated until someone tells us to fuck off.

A few years ago, I would have agreed with you. Nowadays, I genuinely enjoy talking with them and want to be able to do it outside of shitty social media. If I lived nearby or had my liscense already I would have no problems whatsoever. However, because of my stupid insistence on procrastination, I can't just drive myself there. Thus the dilemma of how and when I should go about asking has begun.
>>
>>39257608
Damn man that sucks ass
Try making an active discord server so at least you have internet friends
>>
>>39257608
What's the point in trying to make friendships if they all result in this once they get to know you and find out you're slightly weird. Just seems so much better to be alone, I mean I would rather be alone than be friends with a group of people but have the fear they are gonna ditch me hanging over me.

>According to twin studies, the Big Five personality traits have substantial heritable components explaining 40-60% of the variance
the big 5 trait related to being a lazy slob is conscientiousness. if you're low in conscientiousness you will most likely be a lazy piece of shit and part of that is due to your genes. being lazy is probably a valid evolutionary strategy provided you can still find ways to subsist and breed despite that. by being lazy you conserve more energy compared to your hardworking peers. and thanks to the welfare state and mummy there has never been a better time in history to be low in conscientiousness

when i went to college like 3-4 years ago our anime club was full of the most autistic, wayward people you will ever meet. maybe things have changed since then but i doubt it. occasionally some normies would show up to the club but they wouldn't show up again after that, probably scared off by all the autism. at cons things might be different, after all people aren't there to watch anime together they're there to dress up and socialize and soak up the attention and buy shit.
>>
Don't bother anon. Find an engaging solitary activity and only interact with other homininds when you absolutely have to.
>>
>Are we just born with some kind of "Robot Gene" that prevents us from being treated as real friends of normies?

yes friend it's called assburgers
>>
Oscar, is that you??

Are you supposed to be meeting new people on the weekend? Where?
