>watch anime
>play game
>characters are all pretty
>can't relate to my heroes
>they only serve to torment me in the end
I know this feeling, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying them either way.
Huh what anime and games are you playing?
Majority of the Dragon Quest heroes are average at best, no one is a "pretty" persay.
I can think of a couple of games with average to sub average heroes
>Mario and luigi rpg
>Torneko
>arc the lad 1 +2
>Makai Kingdom (most of the overlords ain't looking to hot)
>chrono isn't that hot so to speak
>laharl is a manlet, mao isn't the pretty, valvatorez true form is a hideous bat demon
As for anime, don't watch moe dogshit, slice of life and bishonen pandering. Try stuff by Satoshi kon and Masaaki Yuasa.
I know I am going to catch shit for this
but hardly n One Piece is pretty either except for maybe sanji
Also I relate to their ambitions more so than their actual physical appearance.

Not OP, but right now Zero no Kiseki.
I'm just a huge fan of the Kiseki series in general.

>Zero no Kiseki.
seems alright.
I like looking at pretty people but boy does it sting to realize I'm nothing like them. Sociopathy is the only way forward and yet I have nothing to base my confidence in.

IDK I think I might have gotten into anime and rpgs for different reasons.
I enjoyed it because it seemed like anyone could be a hero
>Monster heroes
>freak heroes
>anti-hero heroes
>freaks
Think about it, Bowser has been a playable rpg hero at one point.
