I see, I don't know about me though. If I unplug from the internet im hit with this wall of loneliness. I think it's just the silence that ensues in my dark room, and reflecting on my life. It's become hard to work on things even or read.

Then again I don't try and make friends. I don't try and keep up contact with people from here or online. I feel like it's more a factor of time, than space though. I could be surrounded by 20 new people who like me but what is that compared to a few who have known you? But I'm not in a position to meet people, and no one texts me for too long. I don't even know how anymore, when is it appropriate to do certain things?

I guess it takes two to tango, if I try and make friends and fail at least I tried and it's just a matter of compatibility?

It will only get harder as I get older too, and I don't want a family. Wanting a girl would feel weird after all this time of not wanting one, and I'm basically a basement dweller so there's no point.

I never made real friends IRL before, so probably not. Hell, I never made friends on other internet sites. Even when posting on 4chan lately I am constantly met with rejection, even when I say things that 4chan basically taught me. This site has become just like my IRL attempts at friendship where I started becoming friends with people over an interest and they drop it just to start mocking me. I seriously don't know how to take it or where to go next. I was never lonlier than now because now I am hyper-aware of it all instead of slightly distracted by movies and games.

I ahve a bunch of good friends that would do a lot of things for me but this fucking site and the fucking "normie" mentality is making me want to cut off with them. I jsut cant stand it anymore. In normal conversation of course I can hide it but that this site is this offended about these things now while having introduced me to it with daily threads about all those things just a year ago confuses me to no end and just validates every (((conspiracy))) theory from normies trying to change make the site into a regular message board to shills trying to dictate the sites topics and opinions. With no vent at all anymore life feels completely dull.

If you don't detach yourself from 4chan and can't take some distance from it, it is VERY easy to become absorbed by the abyss of poisonous ideas that circulate here everyday.

4chan has become a social conditioning test chamber. Disinformation and pressure to adhere to an idea is injected into our communities every day and nine of it is positive for regular posters and lurkers. Opinions here encourage people to indulge in depression, hate and generally unhealthy habit. It's no wonder so many here end up isolating themselves from others, some of them wondering how it happened.

4chan is good if you take nothing seriously and shitpost, enjoying the few quality threads and discussions as they arise. If you come here to be part of a "family" . I'm sorry for you

As someone who is only here since 2012 the change between 2015/16 and 17 is jarring and not comparable to any other time.
And of course this place is not just one person but you can still notice shifts in behaviour.
I just want to joke with the people like a year ago, reactions are closer to every other social platform than the special fun I had here. Maybe I got left behind with the new joke but I doubt that.
