if you actually give a shit, he's actually very good. Loser turned super star when he joined the rhcp, but he's a robot by nature and couldn't deal with the stardom. He left the band, becam le recluse, got into drugs, and created that album linked and another one. He is the epitome of a loser.

I think it has less to do with jazz persay and more the repetitiveness of a song. I do appreciate the improvisation of the genre, and all of my favorites have improv somewhere in the song, but if the song is way too repetitive, it just turns me off or if there is too much space between notes.
>rhcp
He joined in 89, got famous in 91, left in 92, came back in 99, and finally left for good in 2007ish. He really made the band what they were, the band sucks now unfortunately :[

WHAT THE FUCK I wasn't paying attention to the board. Do you know how rare it is to find a J frusciente fan without goin to spesific communties? Hes a fucking musical genius, every album was amazing until he gave up guitar (literally autistic, best modern day guitarist next to alex lifeson last 30 years and literally GIVES IT up)

I am so esthatic right now for meeting other people that not just KNOW about Fruscientes solo stuff, but LIKE it. I tried showing my friends back when I had some in HS him but they said it was shit. I showed them everything from my smiles a rifle, to estrus to stuff of the empyrean but they were convinced AC/DC was the pinnacle of good music.

Thank you Anons, just thank you, this has been a good day / its 5:12AM

>musical genius
yup, literally same exact words Id use to describe him. Out of the 10 or so years I've know about him, I only met 3 fans; the one that introduced me, an employee I met in Barnes and nobles, and a semi fan (only into his solo work after 2001).

lol did you catch his latest song? even for me, it's too much to handle. It's a shame he left guitar but it just comes to show how passionate he Is, leaving behind the only thing he's known for to pursue new things.

I have a yt channel that I won't shill, you might find me in the yt comments because I'm all over jf content especially his first two albums. I have over 1000 videos favorited of his interviews, music, and contribution with rhcp.

I used to be able to scip to spesific solos of the slane castle mp4 on my ipod while going for walks without looking at my ipod, I new the exact distance from the start where to move my finger with the little ball thing that buffers where you are at. I will give the Poland one a listen, probably already heard it just didn't reconize the name / video, god I hope theres some unique solos in there I have yet to hear, it will be like Christmas for me.

I also have to agree on his latest stuff, I didn't hear what ever the last thing he did was but a while back I was giving his avant garde stuff a listen and it was IDK, OK? I mean I am open minded for music but I couldn't get into it.

Lol I think this was the last time I listened to any of his new stuff (just a video of a hacker I took and its playing in backround, IDK the song name)

You know about Shane Combs? He makes the best jf covers in all of yt imo, he's probably the only person that loves jf more than I do.

Holy shit, while finding the link I found out he deleted his cover of fall thru the ground :[ well, here's my second favorite
https://youtu.be/dJ1BmcCbcrc

There's also Dave simpson, he's a pretty popular jf fan. Then there's the interview uploaders like cenitri and world rockumentary to name a few. But besides that, I don't really know any fans. You mentioned a community, but other than yt, I don't see much of one. You mean like the people behind invisible movement?

I just meant FruscianteWorld, cenitri etc and the surround social medias. I do think there was a site a few years back that I could have sworn Frusciente himself answered a few questions on once but maybe I am prejecting false memories, I think it had a yellowish color scheme and the forum was more dated then this one.

I did hear that poland concert before but it was still refreshing, thanks for that. as for the banana man I have not seen this guy actually but when he started singing I was impressed, actually really resembled john, which I'de imagine is hard to do since your immiating someone at a point in their life when they were years past having died. (atleast thats How i see it) Amazing.

>Fall thru the ground
My family loves classic films and the 50's, thus making stand by me one of their favoirutes, thus making river pheonix their favorite child actor. I played fall thru the ground once in the car. Instantly denied.

The non-stop deniel of people around me of my music always made me question if I was the one with shit taste. I think its just normies being normies, people like you and the rest of JF community are proof of that. Gonna check out more of this guys covers.

BTW have you seen brown bunny the actual movie? I haven't yet, heard its shit worth a watch?

Ik what you mean about others not giving jf a chance but desu you really have to be depressed or feeling like a piece of shit to enjoy his music or at least his early work. and his work down the line sounds too conventional for it to catch and hold the attention of the average listener. But this is all how jf wanted it, he didn't want to be famous and makes music for the sake of making it, the people who actually listen to it are the ones who enjoy it and that's all that matters; no normos involved. I just hope the world doesn't dick ride him when he eventually dies. He had ties to other famous people like Kurt and river so I can see this happening some day.
>brown bunny
I heard it's actual shit but I'm still gonna check it out someday (I don't watch that many movies, and I hate watching bad ones). He made the whole soundtrack I think for that movie but I only heard forever away so far.
