We've been together for nearly 20 years at this point.

She's controlling but in a way that really benefits my life. Whenever I want to do something else she lets me, but every time I've vetoed her I've regretted it (not because she made life hell, but because she's way better at making decisions than I am).

No one even guesses I am autistic anymore, she's basically coached me into being a normal person.

why does nobody point out that in 2013, the diagnosis criteria for autism was changed to encompass a greater part of society, autism is a "cool" new disorder for your kid to have, even normies are "autistic" on the spectrum, thanks doctors. Another issue is that in the 50-60s, it didnt matter what disorder you had, you were going to learn social skills or get hit for not doing so, it was worse for autists, but they were functional autists.
