Been on a Jenn Ghetto binge the last few hours. Went through some of Carissa's Wierd's older albums, now on "Cool Choices" by S, and up after that I think I'll switch to her "I'm not as Good at it as you are" album.
Best music to listen to when you want to kill yourself or are getting ready to desu. That's why I don't share them with my friends.
really love this album
especially Touched, When You Sleep, and Sometimes
Quite comfy, no vocals, quiet rain, lasts forever. Cold room, tough calculus.

Any other robots like dark ambient? This track always gets the feels going.

been listening to a lot of female fronted doom lately
One of the best midwest emo bands, the whole ep is pretty good.

I enjoy Dark Ambient despite really only listening to entry tier stuff like Lustmord and Nordvargr. Got any more reccomendations?
>>39118394
Lustmord's pretty good mate good taste. If you're into more minimalist stuff then sleep research facility - deep frieze is great. I'd recommend the one I posted and pic related for more "melodic" stuff. What sort of stuff are you into man?

here is the version i think is better

For the last hour or so I've been listening to this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAgjyN9Bo4Y
It makes me feel very depressed and sad, but I find it very beautiful. Maybe because I've played the game, thats its very depressing itself.
Also Silent Hill 2 is the best survival horror game of all time along with RE1 and RE2. Prove me wrong
Wish you were here by pink Floyd
The full album btw

Have a blast anon
>>39118569
feel very depressed and lonely I mean
>>39118468
I can practically listen to everything but I really like music which can be visual and tell a story without having lyrics. It's sorta hard to explain but I think Aphex Twin is the absolute master of this.

adult swim bumpers....no joke they arnt bad just look em up ur bound to find a playlist and some "fan made" bumpers that r pretty cool

>Rotting Christ
Nice anon...I'm actually a good friend with one of them, and I can say that they are one of the greatest dudes to hang out with. Plus they are extremely down to earth.
>>39118638
LOL
Which one i want to meet Sakis and buy him a beer
>>39118610
Yeah aphex twin is pretty damn good. GY!BE is also a good example of a story w/o lyrics
>INB4 emotionally dishonest meme
>>39118656
Drummer (Saki's bro). Sakis is a very nice person too.
I remember one time they came both into my place and we chilled out eating pizza and talking. They got alot of fun stories from all those years touring.
I also remember the first time I met them, they were talking to me like we were friends for years
>>39118720
Id fucking pay you to get us to have a beer with them. Too awkward.
Some friends from my school who have a band i think met them at some point. Could be schoolwave. I dont remember

Good shit my man. What did you think of the new album?
Dr. Horrible soundtrack.
Holy shit I wish it was 2012 again.
This is the anthem for robots
https://youtu.be/k-T63_DK8hc
>>39119363
Enh, it was alright. I didn't expect it to be better than their first but it felt like they went in a different direction. I still have it in my playlist tho.
>>39119414
my dude
>>39119425
Yeah pretty much my reaction. Had some good songs on it but you can't really expect some middle aged blokes to recreate the feeling the first album did
>>39119488
Reminds me of how Green Day and Blink-182 had some new albums recently but they can't manage pop-punk in their 40's and 50's
>>39119528
Yeah exactly. The music should mature as the artist does. Otherwise it's kinda cringy
>>39119580
Yeah, they never really evolved the formula so the genre's pretty much dead now. It doesn't help when you see these aging rockstars say "fuck drumpf u guise" from their mansions on instagram. Rock in general, is dead because no new genres have really captured the Public's interest like in years past.
>>39119660
Yeah the only "innovations" in modern rock have been gimmicky genre merging (some good stuff though). I hope that we're just going through a slow patch and it's not dead completely but it's not looking good.
>>39119799
Hip-hop, Rap, R&B and, Pop all dominate right now and the only rock on the radio is dadrock.
New bands need to stop copying past bands and genres and try experimenting with new sounds
>>39119903
Yeah I totally agree. It's the reason I'm starting to get into ambient stuff. Rock just feels stagnant to me ATM. What are you into man?
>>39119950
Have any good ambient recommendations? I love ambient stuff like Aphex Twin, DJ Shadow and, 2814 when reading or studying. I'm mostly into rock and it's sub-genres but I do like a handful of hip-hop, electronica and, pop albums
>>39120052
Tim hecker makes great "busy" ambient e.g. virgins. I never miss an opportunity to shill Natural Snow Buildings though - they make brilliant ambient/folk/drone/Post-Rock shit. If you're looking for stuff between rock and ambient then idk if you've ever listened to any Post-Rock before. It's what got me into ambient in the first place. Got to admit I'm a total pleb when it comes to hip-hop. Any recs? I'd prefer instrumental shit.
>>39120181
Forgot pic. NSB - Dance of the moon and the sun
>>39116372
The Police greatest hits.
>>39120181
Oh yeah, Tim Hecker's great too. I love his album "Mirages," it reminds me of Serial Experiments Lain. I've listened to a bit of post-rock (GY!BE and Slint). For hip-hop I'd recommend De La Soul - And the Anonymous Nobody... (Instrumental ver)
>>39120316
Listening now. Could never into slint for whatever reason and I don't personally consider them post-rock apart from a couple of tracks but GYBE are pretty great. Listen to some of the first wave stuff if you haven't already. Gastr del sol - camofleur, talk talk and pic related are all amazing.
>>39120429
Talk Talk's pretty gud, I'll check the others out
>>39120500
Cool. Really enjoying this btw. Nothing like I expected at all

Currently listening to Blue Oyster Cult and Styx. Both have some pretty good albums.
