I have a strict rule to only talk politics and religion around close friends and family, and even then very rarely.

When they tell people I'm "Far Right" I just shrug it off. No one seems to care or press it.

Even my Muslim friends don't care.

I think it would be way different in the U.S.

But I've always been reluctant to talk politics or religion since I was a child after seeing the IRA murder those policeman on TV and then being at a pub and my dad explaining what the "No Sectarian Discussion" signs meant.

It's one of those "Good Ideas" you stumble upon and that sticks with you.

Second this. There's no such thing as "NEETbux" here. Closest thing is Social Security income for having a disability. You actually have to substantiate that disability though, and that's incredibly difficult to fake unless you find a doctor who's willing to go along with your charades.

About the only thing that could be abused is welfare that's given to single mothers. They hand that shit out whether or not the mother is even making an effort to seek employment or higher education. But that situation is incredibly complicated, because denying them welfare means there's zero likelihood the children can even survive. And if you have Social Services swoop in and place the children in foster homes, they're no more likely to end up in a better situation. So it's just one of those necessary evils that tax payers have to accept.

I'm pretty sure the entire notion of an alt right is exclusively American in its origin. I've also never heard of libertarian socialism outside of the U.S. Chomsky seems to be the primary influence there.

Yes, they do. We had an alt right guy shoot up a mosque in this country and we have a center right political party in the official opposition right now. As for libertarian socialism, that's what he called himself, although he's very pro free trade and internationalist as well.

The Alt-Right is directly derived from the European New Right.

The Alt-Right is expressly European Right Wing politics for Americans. It was the actual purpose of it's formation.

In Europe it would not be "Alt" Right, just Right, though it could perhaps be used to distinguish from Conservatives, like Merkel or May who don't engage in Right Wing identity or social politics, either at all or only minimally.

I can understand why you would do this from a pragmatic point of view but how can one logically hold an idea and truly believe it if they aren't able to stand up for that idea, regardless of the repercussions? I am open about my views with everyone who asks about them, and when politics comes up I do not self censor. If I believe in something I stand for it, I do not hide those beliefs from anybody.
