> tfw no gamedeving buddy to make games together, talk, motivate each other and eventually have a very minor amount of success
>>39060347
>tfw programmers are always busy with their own projects
>tfw artists only want jewgold
>tfw no one remembers sound guys exist
>>39060347
I want to make porn VN games but have zero experience in modeling
>>39060789
What's a sound guy?
>>39060789
>tfw when you can do everything yourself
>>39060789
> tfw you're a OMA and you can do all of those alone to some degree
>just about finished with my game after 3 years of work
>sending it to publishers to try and get money for the final few things I need
>most people in game dev communities are hobbyists who work for 1 hour a week for 1 week and then quit
>professional game devs view you as beneath them them since you're not working for someone else
>family doesn't understand anything computer related, much less the amount of work it takes to write 40000 lines of code or create art and animations for 100+ characters and several large 3d environments
>believe anything that doesn't involve leaving for work at 9 and coming home at 5 and drinking until you black out in front of the television doesn't count as a job, even if you've made regular money from it in the past
>nobody to share feels with
Pray for me, fellow game dev robots. All 3 of you.
>>39061032
so what kind of games do you make?
>>39061032
>finish project
>publish
>feel no different
Strange non-feel. Maybe we really are robots.
>tfw no h-game dev buddy to scam retards on patreon with
>>39061122
This is actually what I always wanted to do. To draw, improve somehow and just make an h-game and make money on patreon. The problem is that you need atleast some form of talent
>>39061122
This. Unfortunately I draw like a five year old.
>>39061122
>Use Ren'py for game engine
>Use 3DDAV for models
>Write basic incest story
>profit
It's so fucking easy, check out games like Dual Family, that shit looks horrendous yet the guy makes 5K a month
>>39061074
In the past I made some idle games (like Clicker Heroes, or Adventure capitalist). They were all pretty mediocre, but they made decent money and one won a cash prize from a web game portal, which helped me realize that even if people don't view me as one of them, I can still make a successful game.
My current game is an RPG, sort of like the older final fantasies, but I put a ton of effort into making the combat fun and challenging instead of just "select your basic attack and hold down confirm until the battle is over."
>>39061094
Just publishing something is pretty unfulfilling, but if you manage to make regular money, that can be a good feel.
>>39061344
sounds nice
can you post a link, pics or something?
>>39061144
I've seen way worse that become successful
>>39060347
sounds like Sa10 from NHK
>>39061470
>I've seen way worse that become successful
Like what?
>tfw working on making a comic.
>Eventually feel demotivated because earning money from it will sacrifice my stable NEET income.
>Realize that no one might have interest in it and will never generate any money.
>Will have to work many hours a day on it while having almost no free time.
>>39060347
It's an interesting idea for sure, but any time I've always been interested to help in any way, devs haven't wanted or needed any help. Guess I woulldn't want to get in their way of anything.
>>39060347
I would never be friends or make games with some anon from 4chan.
Most of you guys have commitment issues, literal autism, lack knowledge in the field and are just lazy ass fuckers.
It's like /g/ trying to develop something other than the logo.
It's the most stupid thing to do, business wise.
t. anon who actually works on a little studio with buddies from my uni years.
