Started watching that dragon maid show so I would understand the memes, but now I am actually enjoying it.

Also watched Kyokai no Kanata recently, which made me sad and I watched Gabriel Dropout which put me back at normal.

Its not really sad, but any romance anime kills me for some reason. I like it, but honestly the last few episodes are really rushed and the ending seems poorly executed. It is only 13 episodes and worth your time Imho though.

There is some pretty great emotional payoff if you ask me (no spoilers, but making sacrafices for the ones you love really makes me fuzzy) but if you are looking for extended physical contact, kissing, cuddling etc. you will not find it here.

Just finished Jojo and Mob Psycho 100, not really sure what direction to go in after that.

It's not an anime, but it's closer than not, recently I've been watching the Amazing World of Gumball, and it's been surprisingly good.

Although, shows that have nice characters and nice worlds always leave me depressed when I have to stop watching them and get back to life being life.

Finally watched Texhnolyze after hearing it recommended by anons here, and it was absolutely stellar. It left me with a very unique feeling of dread and nihilistic depression that I don't believe a piece of media has ever made me feel before.

I really like Cyberpunk and that was recommended to me. I wouldnt consider it traditional cyberpunk, but it was crazy, so bizarre and I got the same feelings you did after watching it. Good taste.

I've seen Lain and thought it was great too. I didn't like Ergo Proxy though, it felt unfocused and a lot of what it tried to put across fell flat. The first few episodes where it's a somewhat supernatural-ish bladerunner type thing is good, there's a few very well-done episodes and plotpoints throughout (the episode with the shapeshifting proxy was great), and the ending was solid, but overall it really should've been 13 episodes instead of 24.
