I watched about 5 episodes and gave it up. Maybe it gets better later but from what I saw it is the most basic of moeshit I have ever seen. I only watched that much because everyone was raving about it. If that was not the case I would have stopped at 1.

From what I saw, it consists of some human meeting "animals" each episode and completing mundane tasks as they progress throughout some kind of zoo.

Very short version: it features animals in the form of anthropomorphized anime girls. The proper story involves a human named Kaban, that doesn't know where she came from or what she is, that came across Serval and Serval decides to help her find out what kind of animal she is! They meet lots of other animals, and there's some cute animal facts too. The animation is pretty rough/awful and I had almost dropped it after the first couple episodes, but there's some decent world building that begins 1/3 of the way through that adds a more somber tone to the show.

This is the major thing that's stopping me. I looked at the beginning of the first episode and it seemed to be mostly another generic moeshit show and the bad animation rang alarm bells in my head.

Once you get past it, the poor animation has a certain charm to it, especially considering that it's essentially a kid's show. Before the show, it was originally a mobile game that got shut down not long before the series began to air because of doing so poorly. They had very little staff, time, & funds for animation. When I recommend it to people, I make a point of mentioning that while it looks pretty awful, it makes me feel great when I see it. It's one of those shows that makes me really happy to watch, and while the animation quality was initially grating, it became something to cheer on as an underdog
