I like singing along and pretending I'm playing the guitar/piano/trumpet

That's pretty great. I'm an ambient listener myself. I like chillout. David Arkenstone. Ah me nah. dZihan & Kamien. There's a really long collaboration called Tarpit Music on youtube that's fun to listen to for a darker mood.
ANYWAY - I think it's tied into my introverted personality and the high level of neural stimulation involved with that. Most music is annoying to me and over stimulating and I just want to relax and de-stimulate.
Least that's what I can figure.
Ambient music is dope. Like a drug trip without the nasty side effects.

Here's a dark trip for you. It's kind of a tense ambient, but nice. I like the sampled noise of water running down a drain.
Fun fact: Men process womens voices with the same part of the brain they process music with.

I only put on ambient music strictly as background music for when I'm thinking (i.e. walking places/learning topics, etc). The music is meant to set a mood, similar to vaporwave. You aren't really supposed to listen to it and only it.
by not being an ADD brainlet

That you Robert?
ambient is white man's music. it demands a high iq and high levels of abstraction, focus and creativity to truly appreciate.

Whoa now. Let's settle down here. It's pretty great, but let's not get stuck up our own asses like people who can name 5 compositions by Handel.
>tfw no ambient friendo
>tfw no music friendos
