Americans, why do you hate poor people so much? They're just trying to get by like you, I don't get why you vote to fuck them over at every opportunity.
>>
>>38902942
The poor vote for open borders, welfare and a good wage is unsustainable because of this, they fuck themselves over.
>>
>>38902942
Voting Democrat would mean voting for another president that supports PC culture
>>
>>38902983
If we got rid of the open borders part, it would be a lot more sustainable.
>>
Republicans flot out don't care about poor people.

The (establishment) Democrats use poor people as a prop to get elected.

Which is worse?
>>
>>38903098
dems at least throw the poor a bone every now and then. ideally the two party dictatorship wouldn't exist
>>
Because poor people are cockroaches that abuse benefits/welfare. Get a job.
>>
Money is the most accurate measurement of human quality ever devised.
>>
I don't know who I hate more, the rich or the poor. I guess I just hate everyone.

>implying republicans don't throw a bone
Isn't trump bringing back poor people factory and coal mining jobs?
>>
My (single) mom raised me on ramen and canned soup in a section 8 studio apartment, now I'm making 50k a year. Nowhere near rich, but I live comfortably, and it's because I went to school, passed my classes, and maintained a good work ethic at every job I had. You're going to stay poor forever if you blame others for "voting against the poor" and don't do anything yourself to change your life situation. Stop being a crybaby victim and do something about it instead.
>>
Because as long as America maintains a free market it's possible for anyone to stay out of poverty simply by A) graduating high school B) not having kids before marriage C) Holding down a job. Obviously there's a percentage who get screwed by circumstance but most poor people I've met are poor by their own doing.

Both parties fuck you over if you're poor.

Democrats:
>Open borders which increases competition for jobs for the poor.
>Also means much lower wages for the poor because they literally have to compete with illegal aliens who get paid under the table.
>Welfare becomes bloated because illegals are taking most of it which means less for the poor Americans which in turn keeps them in poverty forcing them to vote Democrat.
>Dick riding banks so they can foreclose on your home earlier. See Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi's voting records. They also side with banks on votes.

Republicans:
>Cut welfare programs which means if you aren't working you're fucked.

Every single person should vote in their own economic interests. The poorest people vastly outnumber the richest people, so I don't understand what you mean by
>vote to fuck them over
If they are being fucked over through votes, that means they aren't voting, which means they got what's coming to them

Or maybe, just maybe, there's a much bigger problem at play than just "muh voting to fuck over the poor"

>which means they got what's coming to them

in 'murica they have literally no one to vote for. both the republicans and the democrats are parties for the rich and the next most relevant parties are a gaggle of good german libertarians and an actual progressive party, the greens, who are so consistently slimed by the mainstream media and at such a disadvantage in electoral mechanics that there's no point in voting for one even when you get the chance, which is rare. so you either vote for republicans who obviously shit on you but pander to your love for jesus, and democrats who promise they're populist but then mysteriously don't act on any of their policy goals when in office.

i think the problem is that most people are still refusing to see this horrifying reality. even the progressive liberals i live around seem to think the democratic party is a viable vehicle for their policies, nevermind the people in deep red districts where even a centrist D fuckboi won't run.

well, that's the problem for people who have progressive values to begin with, there's also a sizable chunk of this country that somehow still thinks corporation-first reaganomics are a good idea.

It's people from the middle class usually English

Seriously the worst faggots.
>>

>>
>>38904720
>Bettering their position weakens our own

This is actually wrong for just about everyone, I think the only exception would be Trump-likes who are very rich and relatively old. If you're rich and young you do want the poor to be helped and the middle class to be strong again, because that's the only way you're going to live out your retirement in a nice America that doesn't try to slice you open and steal your cash every chance it gets. Turning your country into Brazil is not a smart long-term plan for anyone, but it's a good short-term plan for adding more zeroes onto your offshore bank account before you die in the next 5-10 years, which is literally all that the upper class is doing right now.

For the poor, the middle class and even the aspirational upper-middle, it's far better to have a broadly stable society with lots of well-cared-for, motivated labor than it is to have a society where you pay slightly less to the government every year. You live in this American society and the practices that keep it and its people secure are practices that keep you secure.

The society that the 1% is building through lobbying and corporate power is not only immoral, it's unstable, and anyone who thinks they can always just close the gates to their community and be fine is living in a fantasy land.

Google "prosperity theology." It's a bizarre part of American religion that came about because of this ongoing undercurrent of thought and feeling that "rich people are inherently good or better than others" and that being poor is a moral failing, not just an economic situation. They legitimately believe that poor people somehow must be bad people because they are poor, and it comes up in every situation that involves them. They believe that poor people will rob them, hurt them, deceive them, or otherwise somehow fuck them over just because they are poor.

This idea that being rich means you're a good person and being poor means you're bad is why they look on every poor person not just with disgust or disdain, but legitimate suspicion as if that person somehow has the means or will to ruin their life, and it's also why they will bend over backwards to make excuses for their President bragging about assaulting women on a publicly broadcast recording. I was totally baffled that anyone could believe it, but once I looked it up everything clicked into place and I suddenly understood why Americans vehemently hate their own people for being poor.
>>
>>38904921
>Turning your country into Brazil is not a smart long-term plan for anyone
Brazil has an extremely left-wing government, anon. Most right-wingers are trying to avoid becoming Brazil
>>
>>38904750
>Those are always accurate
>>
>grew up poor as dirt because grand ma refused her multi million dollar inheritance.
>she was a semi hippy
>tfw i honestly trust mentally stable hobos to help me out in a tough situation more than i trust rich people.
This includes the upper middle class.
>>
>@38905013
No more (You)s for you, my friend
>>
>>38904951
>left vs right

What I know is that Brazil is a country with tremendous wealth inequality and a lot of the problems that go with it. If it's now considered "left-wing" to leave the poor to rot in shanty towns and let the 1% jerk off on them, then the term "left-wing" has no meaning at all.
>>
It's a generational thing. How come no one can see that there will never be instantaneous results and trying to achieve that is wasting our times? I don't have a solution in mind but it's obviously a slow, long-term improvement type deal
>>
>>38905062
Fine, fuck left vs right. Brazilian politics are, and have been, dominated by gibs-parties. It isn't fixing anything
>>
I GOT MINE HAHAHA FUCK POORFAGS DUMB LAZY RETARDS
>>
>>38905098

But nobody's doing those incremental things. Can't even get the minimum wage raised to match inflation.

More to the point, our past does not indicate that incrementalism works for getting populist shit done. The last time we had some meaningful populism, the New Deal, it was the result of a huge shitstorm of popular fury which pushed government to pass a lot of good stuff really quickly.

Things get better for the lower classes in America when they storm the gates, not when they politely ask for a seconds. The only thing that incrementally changes in America is the rich quietly dismantling populist rules while no one's watching.
>>
>>38903120
Nah. The dems are the "poor" people's party, but their platforms hit lower class people the most. Baring the extreme poor and homeless, having to pay more in taxes and fees for gas, food, alcohol, schooling, and so on will only ever hurt the average citizen more than it will help them. More and more porgrams mean more and more lazy government workers, meaning more of a drain on the budget. Furthermore, the dems advocate for open borders and immigration, which floods the job market with low skill workers willing to work for less than minimum wage and without insurance like workers comp. This displaces young people and low skill workers from being able to get jobs, and lowers the average wage overall because labor is so plentiful; all the while, the immigrant, many of who are illegal, soak up more tax benefits and do shit like steal social security numbers and commit identidy theft against the populace so they can, again, soak up even MORE government money, except now they're committing identity theft to do it.

Immigration drives down wages, and the Democrats are in support of more immigration

You non-americans do the exact same thing.

Central banks are responsible for the vast majority of poverty.
What would fix all of this is a free market.

ULTIMATE REDPILL:

The working class already consumes 99% of all consumer goods.
Taxing the rich more will not benefit the working class at all, it simply reduces everyone's living standards as the government wastes scarce resources are dumb unproductive shit. Less resources are produced and resources are wasted.

Taxes on the rich should be low, most government spending should be cut and the federal reserve should be abolished.

because prices constantly go up for people instead of coming down like they would naturally in an economy without a central bank

people become poorer over time and become debt slaves
>>
>>38908644
Wouldn't people's salaries also go down in an economy without inflation?
So what are you accomplishing by removing central banks.
Also some prices are still going down regardless of central banks. See eggs
>>
>>38908644
Also you're being stupid. You're misunderstanding the metric. Having a central bank or not having a central bank does not effect effenciency.
The factory is still putting out a thousand pairs of Jeans an hour with 10 workers regardless. Removing the central banks doesn't somehow change that efficiency
>>
>>38908729
>Wouldn't people's salaries also go down in an economy without inflation?
no, it would stay the same mostly.
increases in production would increase the supply of consumer goods relative to wages so prices come down and living standards increase

>Also some prices are still going down regardless of central banks. See eggs
they are coming down in SPITE of inflation
they would be coming down a lot more without CBs

>>38908780
>Having a central bank or not having a central bank does not effect effenciency.
Central banks shift production away from actual production towards inefficient and unsustainable forms of production
See the nasdaq bubble or the housing boom and bust. Both caused by the federal reserve creating money and pumping it into these sectors.

>The factory is still putting out a thousand pairs of Jeans an hour with 10 workers regardless
Maybe this factory got shut down and people are now flipping homes or some shit
USA manufacturing base has basically been destroyed
