This. I did this many times when I played MMORPGs. People would invite me to guilds and be friendly to me, but my turbo autism would activate and I would leave them, thinking "I was stronger alone". You didn't do anything wrong, he just felt that "I'm not gonna be friends with anyone, ever, so what's the point?" or something among those lines.

I don't know what his reason was but when I block/delete someone, it's out of my own personal feelings of inadequacy and I feel like I'm just wasting their time. He might be the same.
