I feel as though this type of mentality is what stagnates social and cultural growth. The feeling of contentedness, although a good physical attribute, can lead to the lack of growth. What I mean by this is that such negative traits such as greed and selfishness are what has made the western society what it is today. First of all capitalism. Despite what you might feel about it, one might admit that it has produced some of the most powerful countries in history. Even China, which is a socialist or communist country by default, still has capitalist undertone which has helped it grown and be on par with that of the west.

What I'm trying to say is. Gibs Me Dat!
