i cannot imagine getting upset over a string

a year or two on and off, with months-long breaks in between. I'm performing in about a month and I feel terrible. Maybe I have some nesting issues or something but all of a sudden I just feel terrible. Maybe it's because I can't afford new strings and might have to rely on someone else to get them. It feels like I bit off more than I can chew.

I don't know why I am. Strings aren't the cheapest but it isn't like I broke the whole guitar. I just feel not good, and I don't like that this is something I'm that upset over.

I'm sorry that happens Anon. I'm pretty sad too. Not alone at least?

I've been playing for almost twenty years man and I have a one man band along with a band with some fuckhead friend of mine; trust me when I say I know that feeling of stress. If I'm being honest though there's probably something more affecting you.

i've been playing for 13 years and i'm currently using a high B for a high E because i broke the high E while re-stringing it. this does not stop happening no matter how good you are
How did it break? If you didn't fuck it up with a set of pliers or something it sounds like you just bought some fucked up strings. In 12 years of playing guitar I have never seen a string break through standard use immediately out of the pack.

I feel like there probably is too. Maybe I'm just hyper-sensitive from something, either as who I am or from feeling down or what have you. I did get legitimately miserable almost immediately after.

Just broke while re-stringing, didn't do anything to it. I have a Fender "Starcoaster", so maybe it just has some quirky stringing process. At least it's happened to others.
