Take the general normal distribution, now bump every value for normal, retard and genius two standard deviations right. Normal would be 120-130, retard at 85-100 and intelligent at 140+.

This is not actually true, because the charts you find online are likely not accurate.

Though there is a correlation though, so if you did well on the SAT you likely have a high IQ. If you did badly, just pretend to be "smart but lazy" to avoid an identity crisis.

That's an extremely high IQ. All these people you see online saying they have IQs of 150+ or 180+ are just pulling figures out of their asses. At 136, you're talking about 2 of every 100 people on earth will be this smart.

I think that's the main caveat. Some people are able to prepare more for the SAT. Presumably someone who is verbally talented wouldn't need to pace themselves because because they could read and comprehend more quickly. Someone who prepares can get a similar score by practicing.

Also it's not impossible that a test that based on prior knowledge would correlate strongly with IQ, because it would be measuring your ability to acquire knowledge. Presumably people with higher IQs are also better at preparing for tests.

Depends on measurement methodology. Wechsler Intelligence Scales considers 120-129 to be very high.
