You're not alone, OP. It's called dissociation. We dissociate as a coping mechanism for either extreme stress or prolonged isolation. In my case, it's both. Human beings look like otherworldly fantasy creatures. Just seeing their limbs move and pupils move about is incredibly unnerving. This also happens to people who overdose on dissociative drugs like DXM or ketamine.
