Only one ancestor of ours that I know of, who has any noteworthy history, and my side is not actually related to him.
This was back in the 1800s but what we know is him and his siblings got a sizeable inheritance. While they all invested or whatever, this guy went and bought himself a little farm, and then literally bought 6 black slave wives to help run it with the rest of the money, and then over the years with them had like 40+ kids between them. Living the dream I guess, saw a picture of him later in life with his huge black family. Funny to imagine though this well-raised northern white boy doing something like that.
