>The FitnessGram Pacer Test is a multi-stage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20-meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal: [beep]. A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound: [ding]. Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

I never found it that bad, as you could quit whenever you wanted to and I was not a fat fuck.
I loved that test. Years of tag and races with my friends made me the last person to drop out almost every time.
>tfw you effortlessly pass a puffing chad who misses the beep

I know this is supposed to be a meme, but I legit never had to do this test when I was a child. Is it as bad as people say it is?

If you were a fat fuck, it was nightmarish. You're already teased and ostracized for being overweight. Then this stupid test comes up, you drop out before everyone else and have to sit there wincing in pain from the cramps, watching the healthier kids glide back and forth across the gym floor, hating yourself for being such a stupid fat piece of shit, and knowing that all the other kids noticed that you stopped earlier than anyone else, reinforcing their negative opinions of you, and leading to increased social isolation, depression, anxiety, and emotional stunting throughout adolescence and teenage years, ultimately leaving you a mentally crippled, lonely, and still-overweight adult who has to fight off suicidal ideation on a daily basis.
N-not that this knowledge comes from personal experience or anything, heh. I-it's just what I heard it's like. Yeah...
