You want to see more studies, but studies are irrelevant as many hypothesis about human behavior are completely unverifiable. Well you obviously don't have a background in education above a grade school level, so let's put this in simple terms. What you're highlighting are called observations: "women are generally more attracted to X feature". Evolutionary psychology seeks to find an explanation for those observations (often) based purely on genetic predisposition and natural selection. For a long time, people observed the sun rising and setting in the sky, and once they had a rudimentary understanding of astronomy they hypothesized that the sun rotated around the earth. There was no evidence for this other than the fact that it "made sense", and of course it eventually turned out to be incorrect.
