I used to have similar reactions, but I've just been getting hammered in the same game and not been affected at all. The lesson being: it's not the game.

It's pretty blatant then that you should be working on your life. Even just getting a plan and working on that would let you feel like you're doing something each day.

Play TF2, playtime and skill grow with eachother almost indefinitely. I've got 2500+ hours and I'm still improving noticeably.

I play these games to escape my absolute failure as a person, not to be reminded of it.
