I am a straight white male, the most privileged group in society, according to conventional sociology. However, my life sucks ass.

>terrible work history made up of entirely volunteer work because no one wants to employ an autist

If my privilege fades, my life will become even worse. Why, therefore, should I contribute to the process of erasing my privilege, if my life will be even worse without the apparent benefits I receive?

Anon, I have aspergers too and I don't consider it all that much of of a bad thing.
By the time someone with Aspergers becomes an adult, most of the negative effects of aspergers should have gone away.
Aspergers shouldn't be weighing you down too much anymore. If it is, just try to use it to your advantage. People with Aspergers become intellegent later on in life.

That isn't always true.
I went to a support group for aspergers and it was full of haggard, frightened, miserable late 20/early 30 somethings who seemed to get no benefits from the condition and all of the downsides.
It was the one of the most depressing experiences in my life and I don't ever want to do anything like that ever again
