Who here /life long neet/ and why?
I never tried to get a job and I feel misserable. 24yo.
>>
Socially fucked from the start. Never had any friends from the start.
>>
I'm autistic. Which means I can't pretend to be the friendly, extroverted, teamwork-loving normalfag that interviewers demand. Add in the fact that I'm 24 and have no work history and I'm virtually unhireable

What are you dweebs going to do about it?
I'm 30 and same situation, but I've been seeing a psychologist the this year for the first time, she sent me to a specialist and after doing tests on me they both decided that I should be on disability.

I only started seeing the psychologist because I realised nothing was/is going to change and I'm too mentally fucked up, socially fucked, and everything else fucked, so I'll never function in society.

They're pretty good, helping me a lot.

This is your future btw.

I hope not. I feel like I didn't have a fair chance since I've been sick for years with something undiagnosed so far. I find even putting the trash outside to be difficult.
>>
>>38613617
Autist here. My parents made me do the whole psychologist thing a few years ago. That's when I got a diagnosis. Three professionals agreed I should get autismbux. I applied and got denied. The government said I should take some pitiful "how to make yourself employable" course or some bullshit like that. I said fuck that shit and that was the end of it. Here I am a several years later, still a NEET. Let the future steamroll my ass
>>
>>38613716

Explain more details..

>What did you get diagnosed with?
>What country?
>How old were you when you applied?

These are important questions.
>>

Originally PDD-NOS, went to two specialists after that and they thought it was full-on autism (I think it was specifically labeled Autistic Disorder)

No job, a job, it doesn't matter. Either way you're going to wake up each morning staring into the abyss would why your life is so terrible. Then you'll go about your day leveling out only to fall back into that abyss at night before you go to sleep, if you can that is. Everything is terrible. No matter how successful you are, no matter how much of a loser you are, no matter how beta or alpha, ugly or beautiful, rich or poor, Poo in the loo or Eternal Anglo you are. Get used to it, bud.

Wait aren't I going to wake up one day and everything will be fine? Why wasn't I told this! REEEEEEEEEEEEE GOD GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE YOU DICKHOLE!
>>
>>38613848
Okay that explains it.

Here's the thing.

1. In the US disability is extremely hard to get for mental disorders unless you have mentally retarded IQ

2. At 21 years old, people still think you have a chance at starting a job/career, regardless of your current situation.

3. PDD-NOS isn't enough to qualify, even as an adult.

You generally need to have several issues at once, like for example ; Schizoid Personality Disorder + Severe Depression + Severe Anxiety, etc.

You also need to be fairly older, like in your late 20s at least. If you were 30 years old and had NEVER worked because of your issues, then they would be much more likely to consider you for autism bux. But if you're still young, it's out of the question most of the time.
>>
26 years here. It just really occurred to me that your boss can yell at you as if he's your father. Shit's weird, man. I can't believe people don't burst into tears all the time or murder their bosses more often.

So any of you /depressed and lonely and have nothing to live for/ or is that part and parcel of /r9k/.
>>

Reality check: employers and coworkers hate extroverted team working people because they are annoying. You only have to act like that on interview day to get the job, after that you just have to shut your fucking mouth and work. Introverted people usually are the best workers in my opinion. Those who talk a lot finish a lot less.
>>
>>38614434
False. Most people don't actually care about the business, even managers, so they would rather have a likeable normie to work with than a quiet autist who is good at their job. At least if your work revolves around a team, which basically everything does.

Normies don't want to sit at work 40 hours a week in silence

you're fucked,

I have been a NEET on/off since I was 18. I just started working in an office today. My job is to order food for the company and take out the trash and stuff like that and it's literally the worst. anxiety wont ever go away and people are mean to you if you don't have a good education. i wish i had stayed a neet
>>
>>38614730
More like normies don't want to spend 40 hours a week with a fucking weirdo who faps to Japanese cartoons.
>>
>>38614121
Don't forget they control your whole livelihood so unless he actually breaks any employment law you have to take all the shit you get thrown at you
