Don't eat fast food. Go for nuts, milk, broccoli, sour cream, cheese, red meats, potatoes, and breads. Eating McDonalds will fuck up your skin and is expensive. Make everything yourself, buy in bulk, and spread out your meals throughout the day. Balance you protein intake with some fish/vegetables, though.

I bulked on McGangBangs (mcchicken inside mcdouble, I go for plain on both) for about a year with decent results. You definitely can get better food for cheaper but you'll have to cook it yourself and it probably won't taste as good. I had a ritual of getting a McGangBang after every workout and I think this contributed to my gains because usually I don't get enough food.
That said I'm currently getting ready for a cut to try to drop about 10 pounds. I wouldn't say I got fat, but my BF % just stayed about the same.
