Instructions on my popcorn say microwave for 3 minutes on 600W

You're supposed to use the time given as a guide, and when the pops are about 2 seconds apart, then you stop.

2:30 or less next time. The 3 minutes recommendation is a deliberate sham so you'll be forced to buy more popcorn sooner when you "accidentally" burn the whole bag.

Lol wat? My microwave is 1000W and even that is underpowered as fuck by today's standards (every frozen dinner I get only wants 1100W). Is it from 1980 or something?
