I haven't really watched these any of these movies in years, but if I remember right, Loki isn't some beta faggot, he is a charming and powerful bad guy who had an army under his command at one point. The fantasy of the movie makes him attractive. It's not like this is some nerd vs jock scenario.

That being said, I always thought that the more intelligent, reserved archetype of men was what women told themselves they liked more, when in truth they would be more likely to go for, well, Chad. Movies don't really reflect reality, they just reflect what filmmakers think people want to see. It's kinda like how movies always get losers getting the girl in the end just because they are good people even though you know that's bulshit. It's just fantasy.
