I played on and off since 2005 until this year.

I just can't do it anymore. I haven't even legitimately enjoyed the game since 2008 or so, the last 9 years has just been the addiction playing.

Speaking with my psychologist about it helped, a lot of the reason I kept on playing despite not enjoying is just another symptom of my mental disorders. The fact that I have now identified it and spoken about it with my psychologist made it very easy to finally let go.

i'm playing eso online because i'm a dedicated geek. i don't do weeb shit and the skill customization in ffxiv looks like shit in comparision.

I started playing Legion in late November and pretty much did everything but mythic raiding and 10+ key runs before NH was released then quit, I had 890 ilvl. I'm stuck on satellite internet (600+ latency) so I avoided that content. I'm switching to 4g soon should be able to get <100 latency on that so I may resub next month.

Top notch gear is pretty much handed to you on a platter, the entire playerbase is made up of whiny cunts that get all pissy that they didn't get what they wanted.
You SHOULD have to grind when you want something top-tier, otherwise you should stay with mediocre gear until you start pushing it.

Mythic+ is a quick and piss-easy way to get ridiculously high ilvl gear, earning gear just seems too fast in general. I'm not talking about difficulty of the raids, in fact they're harder than ever, it's just the gear comes too quickly with too few runs. There's just no special jizz feeling when you get that item drop for that slot you've needed an upgrade for for weeks.

Paying 70e + 12e (i don't remember exact number) sub to play few weeks and then quit out of boredom sounds just a shitty deal. Last time i played was in Tanaan Jungle patch, it was boring. Inb4 token, i didn't play the mobile game in WoD so i don't have enough gold for it.

But i do miss raiding. I miss feeling of having friends. I quit WoW because i wanted something else in my life, but i didn't fill it with almost anything so i just shitpost. I was thinking about playing on Warmane but all this grinding again just makes me nauseous.

Great. It's everything I wanted. Class balance is a little wacky but it's not that big of a deal since XIV lets you level all classes on one character, so when you re-level you got the entire game mapped out.

MMOs are dead, really. You don't see too many people joining the genre. It's mostly people who still have the addiction. I bought Black Desert Online during the Summer Sale and played 15 hours straight of it. Now I just don't have the incentive to spend any more time on it because none of my friends want to either.
