Hey /r9k
I am 18 and want to go into medical school in the future and I want to start preparing now as best I can. I figure I should take the prerequisite classes for starters and not get ahead of myself.
But like I said I want to be as prepared as possible so its way less likely i fail in my dreams so I figure I should prepare for the prerequisite classes first.
So my question is what is the best way to learn my prerequisite classes first before even taking the classes? Would buying the current college textbook and just reading it help or do you have any specific tips that would help?

Look at a few anatomy & physiology books, Internet resources, etc

should I start with those or jump into biology, physics, math type of stuff first?

I'd start with microbiology, then go into anatomy. Might be a good idea to get into calculus. Good luck to you man. I wish I had had the confidence in myself at 18 to get into medicine. Im in my twenties and getting into nursing now

I was as sad loser with poor grades and felt like a brainlet. I couldnt even find motivation to play video games or watch anime so I know where you are coming from.
What changed in me I can only describe as a long spiritual journey where I found meaning in life.
