ITT: Things sheeple don't know
Almost everything that costs money and makes a lot of it is made to addict you.

>Drugs, alcohol, coffee etc. are obvious.
>High fructose corn syrup/refined sugars are in basically everything, including things that probably shouldn't have it like cranberries and bread, due to being twice as addictive as fucking cocaine.
>Toothpaste used to do jackshit when it was first made but they added in the foaminess and the mint flavorings and people /felt/ it made their teeth cleaner and that got them hooked. Even though the act of brushing at all was the only part of it that cleaned your teeth and that's free.(Fluoride is added now and actually cleans teeth though)
>Most video games, especially sandbox and MMO ones, use skinner boxes and other psychological tricks to keep people reeled in
>Gambling, porn and even many TV shows all work in leaving people, not simply satisfied with the product, but wanting and anticipating more of the good stuff
>The internet works the same way but is even more dangerous as it can be used to replace social interactions, distancing people from the real world, as well as easily providing literally everything I've listed so far
>>
What kind of bread are you eating that has sugar added to it?

>Sometimes sugar is used to counteract acidity.
They add fucking ridiculous amounts though, 40 grams of Craisins contain 26 grams(~two handfuls worth) of sugar while 100 grams of the fruit naturally only contains 4 grams of sugar.

Note that an entire bag of Craisins weighs ~140 grams and the average adult male should only consume upwards to 36-45 grams of sugar per day, as an absolute limit, not a recommended amount. Just half a bag of this shit puts you at the limit. Puts you WELL over your limit if you're female (~25 grams of sugar).

Limits are according to the American Heart Association, you know, those people that don't want us to weigh 800 pounds and suffer cardiac arrest at 30.

Furfaggotry is a slippery slope that leads to bestiality. Nah I kid. but seriously:

A good chunk of what we believe is simply marketing done by corporations or individuals. Buying a diamond ring to propose for marriage literally wasn't a thing until jewelry companies started pushing the idea that "If you really loved her you'd propose with a Diamond Brand diamond ring". Circumcision was further popularized in America by the man who made Kellogs' corn flakes, there's no actual benefit to getting cut but we went with it anyway. Low fat, transfat free and fat free products do jackshit to make you lose weight and actually make it worse as sugar is added to compensate for the lessened flavor. The only reason why we believe otherwise is because a doctor, conveniently backed by food corporations, pushed the ideas to our grandparents and parents that fat is what causes obesity when it's actually sugar. I even had my grandma scared to eat an avocado a few days ago because she thought it'd make her fat. One more, Coca-Cola is actually designed NOT to quench your thirst so you're constantly buying more Coke.

Better nutrition, medicine, hygeine, et cetera. My point is more that it creates an incentive to put life off. People focus so much on work that they just hope to spend their money in retirement. But at that point, their bodies have aged enough that they can't do much with it. And besides, most of it will go to their children anyways, even though life will only get worse for each subsequent generation regardless of their monetary inheritance.
>>
>>38514775
The first part of your post I have no data on but the latter part is dumb bullshit. There is no known limit to the lifespan of mankind. Don't give me the "it's natural to die young" crap either. That 30 to 40 life span spiel comes from childbirth complication related deaths and infant fatalities. Further, we aren't doing anything drastically and fundamentally different by living longer through modern advancements than we did a thousand years ago. We're still mastering our environment, killing (very tiny) animals that seek to destroy us and getting food.

It would be best to have a population of healthy and able people who never age or decay mentally than it would be to have people who barely live longer than their pets(or less depending on the animal). Fluoride does not clean teeth, it aids in remineralisation of the dentin when applied topically. This has been discussed at length on this board and others as well. Have a screencap.

To my knowledge there is no formal research on it, at least not yet. But there are many accounts of men who agree with you and feel that if they had been left intact they wouldn't have gender dysphoria.
>>
>>38517026
Ironically enough, having a neckbeard is a true display of masculinity as no feminine woman can display such an attribute.
It's just that it is both a sign of poor grooming and a token of how not quite virile enough said man is.
>>
>>38517026
i want to make myself clear first. this theory is rather new and i only heard someone speaking about it first like a week ago.

you can think of all masculine activities you can imagine. home improvement, guns, motorcycle driving, large amounts of muscle etc actually turn off hyper feminine woman.
the big man - small woman is a thing of the past. the men that have the best woman nowdays are more trendy, faggy and soft spoken. if you live in big cities i suggest you go for a walk and size up all the couples that you see together. especially millenials
>>

>the big man - small woman is a thing of the past. the men that have the best woman nowdays are more trendy, faggy and soft spoken. if you live in big cities i suggest you go for a walk and size up all the couples that you see together. especially millenials
They're beta providers. Betas are for providing and chads are for fun. That's what girls think.
>>
>>38517104
no. the classical chad is a thing of the past.
compare the chads from 20 years ago to the chads nowdays. chads are much more willing to invest in feminine hobbies like TV shows, book reading and grooming.
chads of the past emphasized more masculine behavior, the saying "hey baby wanna ride?" is a thing of the past. woman don't respond to masculine behavior like they used to anymore, we are missing something here.

Technically yes, but I'm using the dictionary definition of the word; 'conscious choice'.

>>
>>38518462

>You think that was my genetics driving me towards starvation and hypothermia?

Yes. If your brain structure and chemistry were different, it would have prevented you from doing that.

You must have gotten some reward for starving yourself and making yourself cold, or else you wouldn't have done it.

> I could get down on the ground now and start swallowing mouthfuls of dirt.

>Is there anything stopping me?

Apparently yes, or else you'd be doing it.

>I could to prove a point, sure.

What point would it prove?

>What about the fact that I'm a vegan, is that not a conscious decision?

It's a decision based on your genetics and conditioning. I'm vegan too, for over 15 years now. There is both a conditioning and genetic component to that, both of which I'm aware of.

The structure and chemistry of my particular brain compels me to be empathetic and sympathetic towards animals. If I had a forebrain that was shaped sufficiently differently, or a sufficiently different balance of neurotransmitters, I wouldn't have this same level of empathy/sympathy.

I went vegan around age 10 roughly, and the environmental influence that caused that was finding out about how milk and eggs were actually produced and the incredible amount of suffering that the animal product industries create.

I can't choose not to feel the pain of the animals I know are harmed by supporting the meat/milk industries, and this exerts a compelling force that prevents me from purchasing/consuming those products.

If you fucked with my neurochemistry enough in some particular way, I wouldn't feel that empathy.

Yes, genetics is ALWAYS in play. I'm not arguing against biological determinism at all.
This is a thread about things sheeple don't know.
One common misconception they have is that religious choice ISN'T genetic. I'm simply pointing that out. I'm not disagreeing with you.
Some people get offended when you suggest that the reason they're religious is because of innate genetic factors, because THEY want to believe they have conscious choice; sheeply don't like to think of themselves especially for something with deep personal value, i.e. religion. Like you said, it could be anything; choice to be vegan etc.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WwAQqWUkpI
>>
>>38518762

Well, let's talk about that.

What do you mean when you say you "feel" that you have free will? I don't experience anything that I would consider calling "free will". My decision making seems like a rather mechanical evaluation of priorities, which happens automatically. I always go with the strongest impulse, what seems like the best option at a given time. Other options at that point no longer seem like ontological possibilities, which is a major part of I cannot say I experience free will.

I also don't feel like I choose my thoughts, and I don't think anyone else actually feels that way either, although they may be convinced they do. You can try a little experiment to understand what I mean.

To try the experiment, just sit there and choose not to think of anything for 5 minutes. Not one single thought, or else the experiment is failed. Can you do it?

I can't. Immediately a thought comes to me. It doesn't feel like I "chose to think" that thought. It's just there. Then the next one comes, then the next one.
>>
>>38511529
People enjoy certain things and over time the systems that develop between people and around societies reflect the collective inherent interests of human beings.

Everything converges from these collective preferences in such a way that you can sometimes heuristically determine that there is some kind of a conspiracy developed by entire cultures to manipulate people because why else would they enjoy things that are obviously so indicative of persuasive techniques designed specifically to control?

The idea that these systems can arise organically never seems to be the first thing that comes to mind when trying to dissect why I'm drinking something that is chemically addictive.

Interestingly, trained practitioners of buddhist meditation claim to experience periods of no-thought, and that meditation can help you become more able to control your thoughts. When you jump from one thought to another, there must always be a 'gap' in between two thoughts where there are no thoughts in your brain. Apparently, meditation can help to lengthen these gaps

>ITT: Things sheeple don't know

Biggest one I can think of is the fact that Abrahamic religion has so many similar stories to older polytheistic belief systems that the creators are lucky they lived in a time before copyright infringement.

Also religious freedom is a meme that shouldn't exist to the extent it does, monotheism cancered up our species.

>monoarchism is the final redpill. After reading the Prince, the Republic, and On the Social Contract, I've also thought that humans as a species should have one supreme ruler who is a philosopher-king. (One of the Guardians)

No, circumcision leads to less pleasure and decreased function, which in itself leads to riskier behaviour in the search for sexual satisfaction.

You have unprotected sex with STD-ridden whores, and rely on the fact that part of your penis is missing to protect you? interesting.

Shitty meat eater here, I've tried going vegan at least 5 times but I always end up caving because it's hard to eat outside - and when I cook I get really tired.

What are the EASIEST meals for a new vegan to make?

anti-"race"mixing.
>>
>>38528418
I don't think I was implying that only white people shouldn't mix and white genocide really isn't about race mixing it's about the mass immigration of non white people to white countries.

Honestly it's going to be harder than that Mexico doesn't have the free gibs but tons of them live there.
What is going to have to happen is they are going to have to move back to their countries which isn't that bad people move all the time they moved here and they can move back.
