Feel this man, I can't stand anyone doing anything for me, it makes me feel awful.
I hate people buying me things, giving me money, just doing anything for me.
This includes my parents. The guilt and shame after any of these things is too much

No, you're just worried about how you can make up for it so you don't owe them forever.
If you do it quick, it's over and you don't owe 'em shit anymore so they can't guilt you into anything.

Kind of feel the same thing, when you get help you want to repay it somehow but it's not always possible.
