I agree, the current time we live in is pretty horrible, getting jobs is super fucking hard because you need qualification and training to do ANYTHING. My Dad grew up in the 70s-80s and he got several jobs at the age of 16, not because he was a super smart guy but just because back then you didn't need a million fucking qualifications to work.

Back in the day you could actually go out and do stuff, now you have to dedicate the next 5 years of your life studying like fuck to get into a basic job for basic money.

Kind of glad I don't live in some small village where I'm pressured into a relationship or arranged marriage with a guy I don't like, but the rest sucks. Sad times. That's sort of what I fear becoming. Reason my dad did as well as he did was because he looked as his dad (my grandfather) and thought 'No way in hell am I becoming that'. I'm 21 and failed out of the military when I joined after high school and I'm so lost. Do I just go sign up for community college and hope for the best? I've tried to learn coding on my own multiple times but it's so hard to stick to it. I get frustrated and just browse online the rest of the day.
I used to feel suicidal a lot but now I'm just "existing" one day after another. I'm indifferent about dying now because I don't know what I want out of life. Then people spit out the line that "nobody knows what they want out of life/the meaning" yet millions of people my age are out becoming successful, doing great things, etc. and they have the drive to do so. But I don't have that drive and don't know how to find it. I recently picked up my old guitar again to learn chords but it's so slow and feels like a drag.

Honestly the only thing that can fix things is a huge depopulation of the world. If 99% of the world population suddenly died, then we would finally have the opportunity to start up from scratch again, and have another try at creating a better society. Right now though, things won't be changing for the better.
