The Strawhats got fucking ugly and the arcs got less interesting. Nami and Robin are just tits on straws and Robin lost her interesting face and hair. Sanji stopped being cool and is just a whiny pissbaby now. Franky is completely unrecognizable and Chopper and Luffy look even younger than they were two years ago. The only one I can say was improved is Brook, I like his Soul King getup

Time skips never work well. I will say though that One Piece has done the best at handling it compared to other stories. It could have been a lot worse like with Naruto.

The first component to One Piece is the journey. The time skip misses 2 years of the journey (I think it was 2) and then we find out through flashbacks things that transpired. And flashbacks are handled very poorly in One Piece. I should never leave the main story for more than a few chapters.

The second component is the main crew. But now Oda splits up the main crew every chance he gets. This is fine story telling technique to spread out characters and tell a story on an expansive level. However half the characters now just disappear for 50+ chapters. The feeling of camaraderie is gone.

Overall One Piece is still good, but it's no longer great.
