Take out GPU for less heat production and take off CPU fan or AIO for less restriction of airflow.

Won't that just make your fans work harder?
Heat rises so you are losing heat by ambient convection regardless of airflow.

aw shit. TBh, the reason i originally taped off the top vents was so water wouldnt drop into it from a potted plant i put on top. I've still got a speaker and an external hdd on top right now, but only over one vent

With less fans, you'll have higher temps because of lowered airflow to cool your components.

Get a case with dust filters in the future

As soon as your PC turns off the dust will go into it anyway even if you had fans pushing the dust away while it's on
