He absolutely detested Catholics, though, and the only reason we don't hear about Catholics being thrown in concentration camps was because the Italians didn't want that, and Hitler needed to appease the Italians. Priests were arrested and killed, however, and Catholics were looked down on.

Looks like WWII Italy was good for something after all.
