My mental health has been improving ever since I left this site

I'm fine ever since I stopped visiting pol.

I always leave but come back for the dank memes and robots. Sorry OP. I feel worse if I leave.

I can't. Although I waste soo much time on this useless board contrary to you I get a feeling that my mental state would deteriorate. It brings me confort but also good laughts

I've noticed that the more time I spend here, the more bitter, cynical, and pessimistic I become.

While this is fun while you're on the site, there is a price to being jaded. You can relate to anyone else who thinks the same way, but others will not be able to relate to your personality, and they will find you off-putting.

The sad part is that if you ever want to get out of your head and improve yourself one day, you are making it a little harder every hour you browse 4chan.

You can dismiss "the others" as normies or chads or roasties or whatever, but there are things you can learn from them. Don't be exactly like everyone else, of course.
You need other people to get out of whatever hole you're in, and this place only makes them more inclined to avoid interacting with you.

It's all fun and games talking to someone new until you let slip a cynical/bitter idea that makes them think you're not worth getting to know. Few things short of tragedy befalling someone you care about hurt more than that. It makes you feel like a stranger in your own mind, and not in a fun psychedelic way. Especially if you weren't always the person you are now.
