But diet, exercise and supplements can help a lot.

I've tried lots of things over the years, I like 5-HTP, DHEA, noopept, and L-Thiamine. I'm still a cynical misanthrope though. I also go on lots of long walks for exercise and sunshine, it seems to help. Ketogenic (high-fat, low starch/sugars) diet definitely helps. Dairy and grains give a lot of people problems, might consider cutting them out of your diet.
