What is "grabbing a beer with somebody"? I can't imagine two people just silently sit at a bar and drink a beer, so is it an excuse to talk to each other? What do normal people talk about? Do they have thoughts like I do?
I have one friend and we always hang out and drink beer. It's all we ever do.
Getting drunk is fun. We just talk about how much we suck with women until we're too drunk to remember our conversations.

>is it an excuse to talk to each other?
uh
duh?
Yeah of course it is.
Beer tends to make people more talkative, open up and connect better.
If a person is asking to grab a beer with you, they want to enjoy themselves with you and learn a little more about you.
It's been shown that drinking with a group, they're all more likely to have more "perfect" social moments where they laugh or smile in unison.
Did you get asked to grab a beer with someone?

>What is "grabbing a beer with somebody"?
just drinking and talking, maybe playing something like pool, poker or video games, making food if at home
shit like that, y'know?
i was assuming doing what with a close friend was that but he would cockblock me.

>Did you get asked to grab a beer with someone?
No, I hear a lot of people use it as an example of things they do with their friends. I don't really like getting drunk, I just like the taste of beer, so I usually just drink 1-3 beers. I guess I consider it in that sense like someone asking to go out and get a soda with me.
All I do with my friends is talk to them (sober). We don't really have hobbies in common. I just have a hard time imagine normal people doing this. When I tell people that's what I do with my friends, it looks like they're trying not to laugh.

Essentially, they're asking you to social drink with them.
Of course, sober conversation is just as important, but typically when someone invites you to go out and drink they're looking for a bit more of an exciting time. Oh, and also to get tipsy/drunk/buzzed.

(if they do ask that is. whoopsie.)

Do you want to get a beer with me? I like Touhou. I've almost 1CCd a couple of them on normal.

A small amount of alcohol, like 1-2 pints is proven to make you more creative, which makes conversation easier and more interesting. Normies call this "loosening up"

Depends on where you live. I'd be down for one or two.

>I'm not a social creature
>alcohol doesn't change this
>MDMA on the other hand...
>tfw no /r9k/ drinking buddy to enjoy mutual consumption of alcoholic beverages
>what do they talk about?
Well it's usually someone saying something and out of that random phrase it snowballs into minutes or even hours of conversation. If the conversation gets too boring you either pay for both of the beers (the other will usually decline) and go home OR read body language/facial expressions to see which topic they're interested in.

alcohol makes you more normal while the effects last. So drinking alcohol and talking with other people drinking alcohol as well is ideal.
