I've been eating sugar cubes to counter my depression and make myself feel happy and energised but I feel like it isn't very healthy even though I feel fine.
The high will only last for so long before it bites you in the ass with health problems down the road. I have a nasty habit of chewing ice myself, which I still do occasionally. It's gonna fuck my teeth up if I don't stop.

I mean, it's literally just sugar. If you're downing a dozen of them every couple hours it ain't healthy at all. Just manage your sugar intake by the grams and you should be fine.
Just don't be too surprised at a bit of extra pudge of cavities in your teeth later on.
I'd try to give a better suggestion, as someone who considers themself as somewhat of a nurse but I also realize my way of dealing with my depression is literally just distracting it with video games, cosplay, voice acting, and cute reptiles. So I'm sorry I can't offer any advice or suggestions here. ;-;
I replaced almost all of my carbohydrate consumption with fat to counter my depression, and it seems to be working. I feel oddly even, and in control. I think it's worth the increased quality of life even if I die younger of heart disease.

I mean, I'm no doctor or anything myself, but those sound as good of ways to fight depression as any. Doing what one enjoys and finds fun seems like a good way to stimulate the endorphins and shit.

Yeah, but its just like, pretending I'm okay instead of expressing my feelings. I'm just a stressed out person.

the only cure is to befriend yourself

You shouldn't feel the need to pretend to be okay. Admit how you are personally, but doing what you enjoy in life will help you feel better.
Have you tried expressing your emotions anonymously? It's a pretty good way to get them out in the open if need be.

I dont really like being anonymous. I like having people who will actually stick around hear me out, ya know?
Is OP a horse or something?
That's gonna fuck your teeth up

That's understandable. Still, if you absolutely need to get something off your chest, it's not a bad way to go about it.
Have you tried Discord or, hell, even Reddit for people to talk to about your issues?

It's better than drowning yourself in alcohol. I'll take rotten teeth over my failing liver
>>38381260
I dont really know how to use discord or reddit well, so no. Not really. ;-;

Discord is pretty damn easy. It's super user-friendly and is basically just a big, convenient chatroom. I don't know much about Reddit though, sorry.
