My parents used to do this to me all the time up through my teens. Except they'd go through all of my things and clean my whole room out. Find my embarrassing drawings and things I'd write and shit. I'd come home from school and find all my stuff in the garbage, outside.
Fairly certain this played a large part in why I'm so messed up.
