Post characters we should all strive to become.
Also, what's keeping you from improving?
Bond as a character really isn't anything like the Bond portrayed in the films.
The books focus a fair bit more on his incredibly self destructive mental state.

Be yourself Anon.
As for the question
Boredom.
I can train, or read, or eat or do anything knowing that I am making progress; seeing the results be it mental or physical. But I get bored of myself and what I'm doing, I just see through it all and I'm wondering why am I limiting my present existence to this drudgery for the idea of something I want; something that I have thought through already and the novelty of doing has worn off.
So I don't think I can improve myself directly, it has to be indirect. My focus needs to be on something dynamic that I am passionate about. That something used to be WoW PvP for me as a warrior. I learned a lot more than just warrior pvp after ten years of that.
I don't think it matters too much what it is, I feel like I learned how to apply myself in countless ways in real life from applying myself to a video game. I grew. So if I find something else, another dream to chase, maybe one that I can make a living with, I'll flourish with ease.
