my niece has that, she's 17 now. she gets stressed i guess. treats her parents whims and passing emotions like it's the end of the world.

granted her parents act like it's the end of the world, but it's obviously just because they want it their way asap and they'll just bully her to get what they want. she can't see past that though, or at least she can't let it go internally so she gets cornered by it and freezes as if anything actually happened besides twisting 'blah blah blah' to make the words hurtful to bully her.

she needs to be smart enough to see their point, understand it, and let their bullshit hit nothing but air imo, but she cares too much about how they want it rather than focusing on what she wants and how to work with them rather than for them and getting shit on.
