You should also consider going to your local two year college and learning a trade. I live with my parents for the moment (I'm joining the military within the next few months, so no point in getting the apartment), and I have a $7.60 an hour 20 hour a week job as a cart jockey, essentially, and I could easily pay $500 a month. Let's assume 3.5 weeks in every month, just for the sake of it, that's 70 hours a month, times 7.60 (minus tax is more like 6.50 tbqh) is 455 dollars.
