phone convos are just awkward
>>38342345
I wholeheartedly agree with you op

>have to mentally repeat what I'm about to say multiple times before I call someone so I don't stutter

Too real anon.

be very specific cold and matter of fact.
call. specify name. intent. discuss ways to make shit happen. alright then. goodbye

know that feel anon. I actually conquered this by getting a job at a type of call centre place. we signed up clients to health programmes and called them up all day, seeing if we could help. I left that job 7 months ago, so I get a little bit more anxious when making a call, but a lot better than I was.
now, don't get me started on presentations. I've got one coming up in a week and I'm shitting myself. I think I'd rather die. has to be done though.

>do that and still stutter
>>38342345
I'm fine with convos, but I can't into messaging.

In face to face conversations you have body language and facial expressions to aid communication, in emails or other forms of text you can re-read or retype the message for proper understanding. But on the phone, when the other person is too quiet or too loud, or you're too quiet or too loud, and the connection is bad or sounds like 8-bit or you didn't quite understand the name because it's the first thing they say and you weren't prepared, it's just awkward.
