Holy fuck, I basically forgot 50% of how to write. I got it back that evening after an hour of practice, but it was scary while I was in the actual office. I also forgot cursive writing (especially the capitals) and didn't bother re-learning it. I felt pretty retarded that day

This reminds me of a post that said something like "I did all the super advanced calc and analysis classes in HS and uni and learned some really complex math shit for work and then a decade or so later of disuse realized I couldn't even do algebra much less anything above it"

I didn't even learn how to read or write in cursive. Whenever I see something in cursive writing I have to look at it for 5 - 10 minutes and figure out what letter each circle and line is supposed to be.

It isn't that bad for me but whenever there's uneven number like 491 + 775 or something involving algebra I turn into a massive brainlet. I have to take 5 - 30 minutes to solve some equations and numbers. I have always hated math and will continue to hate math, it sucks to be a mathlet.

I kind of get what you're doing but I've seen so many ways of "stapling" numbers that I blend them all together and fuck something up. I don't even remember how to calculate percentages on the calculator anymore, I think it had something to do with multiplying with 0.xx or it was to divide, idk. Point is I'm too much of a mathlet to write numbers down and solve them via stapling and have to do everything in the head where I fuck it all up. I never learned the basics properly from start either so that probably made me to the mathlet I am today.

I once had to alphabetize about 15 cabinets worth of client files for an insurance company. I was alone in the back storage room so I could sing the alphabet song out loud. Managed to wrap it up pretty quickly.
