I work, but I don't get why I should move out right now. I have no girlfriend so it's not like I need privacy. I'm also an only child, so I'm going to inherit this house some day. I can put my paychecks into savings/stocks or just buy whatever the hell I want to.

I used to want to buy a home until I realized what a waste of money they are. Even if you buy one outright, property taxes are almost half my rent for the year. I prefer investing all my money and using the returns to pay off my rent and bills instead.
