Rogaine works for a little bit -- in my case, a year -- before it loses its efficiency. You'll have to pair with finasteride to address the root of the problem: the absorption of DHT and its effects on scalp hair growth.

Just wound up buzzing/shaving it every few days.

rogaine, or as its chemical name "minoxidil" is a vasodilator. provides blood flow to the hair follicle to allow it to grow better. however if the male hormone DHT is still attacking the follicle, minoxidil wont do jack shit and the hair will fall out after a short cycle.
