Brushing doesn't make your teeth whiter and no toothpaste will help either. All the so called "whitening toothpastes" do is damage your enamel. If you want them whitened you have to go the dentist and have it done professionally. It costs quite a bit but it's safe and gives a good result.

Oil pulling helps. To try it, swish some coconut oil in your mouth for 20 minutes every day before brushing your teeth in the morning.
Also, use Blanx whitening toothpaste 2-3 times a day. It's a bit more expensive, but the whitening kit from the same brand works too. I only brush once a day because depression/laziness, but my teeth have faced a marked improvement in color since before.

Get some gel with 38% hydrogen peroxide and apply to teeth for 1-2 hours. Repeat until your teeth are white.

I got complimented on my pain tolerance but it took almost a year and some of my own self-dentistry to get my gums right. The doc didn't scrape everything properly and giant shards kept popping out of my face, so I was digging around in my mouth with a steak-knife ripping big chunks of bone out of my head.
